The 2010 Celebration:
Celebrate Heritage, Fostering Unity
When I think about our City’s celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage
Month this year, what comes to mind goes much beyond the word celebration.
It is a time for our diverse ethnic groups to come together, learn more about the uniqueness of each other’s culture;
It is a time to reflect upon how we can give voice to those who need help and support;
It is a time to take action to strengthen the togetherness of the entire Asian Pacific American family and
It is also a time to reach out and connect with all the people and communities who call San Francisco home.
